On the international stage, her works have become a cultural language that transcends national boundaries. Former U.S. President George W. Bush collected her work The Eagle. Former Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen treasured her Andersen and Children of Five Continents. World-renowned soprano Sarah Brightman has her work Goddess of the Moon. Former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D’Alema also holds a portrait paper-cut of himself created by her. She shares a profound connection with the Danish Royal Family. Not only were her Andersen’s Fairy Tales series collected by the Hans Christian Andersen Museum, but she was also awarded the Order of the Dannebrog (Knight) – the highest honor bestowed upon non-Danish citizens – by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. She has also attended cultural events jointly with Prince Joachim of Denmark, the younger son of the Queen. In addition, at the invitation of former Singapore President S.R. Nathan, she served as Chief Judge of Singapore’s First National Paper-Cutting Art Competition. She has held exhibitions and lectures in Sweden, South Korea and many other countries, enabling hollow-carving art to gain worldwide resonance.
